Outreach- Outreach is highly salient to children’s academic achievement because it bridges the gap between schools, families, and communities—creating a support system that nurtures a child's educational journey. Outreach helps schools and community organizations build trust with families.  It encourages students to discover their interests and goals, and it goes beyond the walls of the conventional classroom setting.   When schools partner with local organizations (faith-based groups, nonprofits, health services), they expand the support network around the child.  When families and communities are connected to schools, children thrive academically and socially.

Youth- Youth should be at the center of all decision-making because they are the primary stakeholders.  Every policy, curriculum, or budget decision impacts them.  Students are more invested when they see that their experiences matter.  Listening to youth perspectives can lead to creative solutions and modern approaches to education that better reflect the needs of today's learners.
